About Me
I’m a web and social media strategist based in Montreal. Back in 1999, I began creating websites and the www became a passion ever since.
A few of the posts on this blog are research papers I wrote towards an M.A. in Intercultural and International Communication, obtained in 2008. Others posts will range from opinion pieces to simple reflections.
As most people know, online marketing is no longer about pushing messages, but listening and building relationships. I’m therefore particularly interested in applying interculturalism towards creating more traction and increasing engagement within online communities.
I am an avid reader of fiction, philosophy, and poetry.

Interculturalism
Interculturalism is an evolving field and still somewhat misunderstood. Firstly, “culture” isn’t necessarily attached to race. Generation Y can be said to have a culture distinct from Baby Boomers. As well, interculturalism is not about categorizing, and potentially, stereotyping. It is a methodology for highlighting patterns of similarity within a culture, with the understanding that not everyone will fall within the center of the graph. (More on this to follow…)
